PrestaShop manages products, orders and stores. Installation alone does not establish working payments, shipping, notifications or business settings.

Preparation

Select the correct major version in the installation documentation. Check runtime and database requirements together with theme, payment and shipping modules.

Controlled launch

1. Back up and prepare staging.
2. Configure the domain, HTTPS, store URL and administrator access.
3. Use sample products and the payment provider's sandbox for checkout tests.
4. Test failed payments and retries.
5. Verify stock, order and notification consistency.

Confirm the payment account and business scope before real charges. Avoid unnecessary payment data in logs and backups.

Infrastructure

Size for catalogue and concurrent transactions. Compare e-commerce hosting and e-commerce server scope for more specialised requirements. Verify backup and application maintenance coverage.
